Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 24, 2026
At Math AI Solver Free (“we”, “our”, or “us”), we believe that educational tools should empower students without compromising their digital privacy. We are committed to transparency and the principles of data minimization. This document outlines how we handle data, with a specific focus on our “Zero-Log” architecture.
The Zero-Log Guarantee
We utilize an Ephemeral RAM Processing model. When you submit a math problem (e.g., via text or camera scan), the data is processed in volatile memory for the sole purpose of generating the solution logic.
Once the session ends or the solution is delivered, the raw input data is permanently purged. We do not store, archive, or train our models on your specific homework problems.
1. Information We Collect (And What We Don’t)
We strictly adhere to a data minimization policy.
A. Information You Provide Voluntarily:
- Mathematical Queries: The equations or problems you input. These are processed ephemerally.
- Feedback: If you voluntarily send us an email, we will store that correspondence to respond to you.
B. Information We NEVER Collect:
- Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as names, physical addresses, or phone numbers.
- Student IDs, school affiliation data, or academic records.
- Biometric data (face scans) or persistent user profiles.
2. Cookies & Technical Data
We use cookies solely for technical functionality and security. We do not use cookies for behavioral advertising or tracking across other websites.
- Essential Cookies: Used to maintain the calculator’s state during your session (e.g., keeping your “Degree/Radian” preference active).
- Local Storage: We may use your browser’s local storage to save your “History” locally on your device. This data resides on your machine and is never transmitted to our servers for storage.
- Log Files: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) are collected for security and fraud prevention (DoS protection). These logs are rotated and deleted every 7 days.
3. How We Use Information
We use the limited data we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide the mathematical solutions you request.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent use or security attacks.
- To analyze aggregate usage trends (e.g., “Calculus queries increased by 20% this month”) to optimize our infrastructure.
4. Third-Party Services
To keep this service free and fast, we rely on trusted third-party providers. Data shared with them is anonymized where possible:
- Hosting Providers: Our servers are hosted on AWS and Vercel, which process data under strict security protocols.
- Analytics: We use privacy-focused analytics (e.g., Google Analytics 4 with IP masking) to understand site performance.
- Content Delivery Networks (CDNs): Libraries like Tailwind CSS and Lucide Icons are served via public CDNs.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect data in transit and at rest:
- Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3 (Transport Layer Security).
- Ephemeral Architecture: Our “Zero-Log” architecture ensures that even in the event of a server breach, there is no historical user data to steal.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you have certain rights regarding your data. Since we do not store PII, many of these rights are automatically satisfied by our design:
- Right to Access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data. (Note: We likely hold no personal data on you).
- Right to Erasure: You can request that we delete your data. As we delete queries immediately, this is our default state.
- Right to Rectification: You have the right to correct inaccurate information.
7. Children’s Privacy (COPPA & FERPA)
Math AI Solver is an educational tool directed at High School and University students (13+). We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will immediately delete it. Schools and teachers using our tool are responsible for obtaining necessary parental consents.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
